Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Singapore / Darwin
    Fly Singapore/Darwin  MI 801 0830/1440 – Wed, Sun (4h 40m)
      Or  MI 803 2000/0210+1 – Mon, Fri (4h 40m)


    Transfer to your hotel.  Be picked up this afternoon by a World War II Specialist who will take you on a private 4-hour tour that brings the poignant history of the Bombing of Darwin to life!

  • Day 02 - Darwin / Litchfield NP / Darwin

    Take a trip to Litchfield National Park. Take the back roads with a personable Indigenous guide, refresh yourself at iconic Wangi and Florence Falls, and visit rugged heritage places away from the tourist trail. Taste bush foods and medicines in season. Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch of wildcaught barramundi, crocodile and kangaroo. (Max 7 persons – join in basis, 7.30am to 4pm including lunch)

  • Day 03 - Darwin (embarkation) / Katherine

    Board your train and journey to Katherine.

    Cruise down Katherine River between the massive rock formations of the Gorge that tower over the calm water. Listening to stories about how the Gorge came to be named. A walk of approximately 700 metres over rocky terrain is required in both directions between the First and Second Gorges.

    Optional Activities:

    • Nitmiluk First Gorge Rock Art Cruise: As a more relaxed cruise experience, your guide will share some of the ancient secrets of the region as you gently cruise down the First Gorge, witnessing the awe-inspiring sandstone cliffs that reach amazing heights.
    • The Ghan Cultural Experience: Your Indigenous guide will educate you on the cultural history and demonstrate the ways of the traditional owners of Nitmiluk, the Jawoyn people. Immerse yourself in the many activities available during this excursion such as creating your own Indigenous painting, learning to throw a spear using a Woomera and listening to Dreamtime storytelling.
    • Canoe Nitmiluk Gorge: You will have ample time to admire the scenery and wildlife, swim or bushwalk. Take in the diversity of the landscape and habitat as you paddle your way along the Gorge, a visual treat for any nature lover.
    • Gorge Shuttle: To witness the grandeur of Nitmiluk, a one hour return walk takes you to the Baruwei Lookout for a breathtaking view along the First Gorge
    • Katherine Town Shuttle: the shuttle will take you to the Katherine Visitors Centre where you can begin your discovery of this Outback town and what it has to offer.

     

    Optional Upgradable Activities:

    • Nitmiluk Gorge Helicopter Flight: Fly over all 13 gorges. See 17 Mile Valley, Northern Rock Hole and Biddlebomb Cascades. A view from the air is the best way to appreciate the complexity of the system that makes up Nitmiluk Gorge.
    • Twin Parks Fixed Wing Scenic Flight: A private adventure in the Top End. Transfer to the Royal Air Force Base Tindal and enjoy a chilled glass of sparkling wine before boarding your flight.     • Meet your guide for a Full Day Blue Mountains Discovery Tour, starting with Aboriginal culture at Waradah Cultural Centre. In the afternoon be dropped off at your hotel.

  • Day 04 - Alice Springs

    Transfer for your flight.

    Fly Alice Springs / Ayers Rock  QF 1941  1355/1450 – Daily (55m) 

     

    Transfer to Longitude 131°. Head to Uluru for a short walk and learn the story of the Mala Man and then proceed into Kantju Gorge. Enjoy sunset drinks and return to Longitude 131° for gourmet dinner.

  • Day 05 - Uluru

    Depart to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view the sun rising over Uluru. Starting from the sacred site of Kuniya Piti we head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole where our guides will share the Kuniya Liru Story. Enjoy a light breakfast at the Cultural Centre viewing area. Return to Longitude 131°

    Spend your afternoon at leisure or take the opportunity to enjoy any of our optional tours. This evening depart to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy an unforgettable dining experience under the stars, before returning to Longitude 131° for drinks and rest.

  • Day 06 - Uluru / Singapore

    Transfer to the airport.
