    This 5 days trip concentrates on the capital of Pyongyang and review the country as the “Kimland” with its many stunning monuments dedicated to the “eternal president Kim II Sung”. The story from the country’s point of view is being told through its memorial and museum. Also be taken out to experience the countryside of Myohyangsan and to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

  • Day 01 - Singapore / Beijing / Pyongyang
    We recommend Monday departure. We can also organize another day but with Beijing overnight extension.

    Upon arrival in Pyongyang airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Start our tour by paying a respect to the ‘eternal president’ Kim ll-sung at the Mansudae Grand Monument, it is compulsory to lay a bouquet of flower here. The tour continues to Juche Tower, which is a symbol of the Juche Idea (national self reliance, literally “Master of one’s self”) penned by Kim Il Sung. Take the lift to the top of the Tower for impressive views over the central city.

  • Day 02 - Pyongyang / Mt. Myohyang

    Today visit to the suburbs of Mangyondae, where you will visit the Mangyondae Native House (the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung). You will then pay a quick visit to the Arch of Triumph beside the TV Tower before proceeding for a leisurely walk in Moran Hill Park. Drive 3 hours north to Mt. Myohyang area and visit the Ryongmun caves, an amazing grotto of cavernous caves which head 2km deep into the darkness beyond.

  • Day 03 - Mt. Myohyang / Pyongyang

    This morning visit the Pohyon Temple, founded in 1042 and heavily damaged in the Korean War. Visit the fascinating International Friendship Exhibition, a massive complex built into the mountain-side, housing endless corridors and rooms lined with diverse gifts from all over the world.

    Return to Pyongyang; visit the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery for a different view and a Buddhist Temple nearby. Then head underground for a quick ride on the sleek Pyongyang Metro. Lastly, visit USS Pueblo moored on the Taedong River, a US ship captured in 1968 by the Koreans.

  • Day 04 - Pyongyang / Kaesong

    Today our tour begins with a visit to Kumsusan Memorial Palace, which houses the embalmed corpse of the founding leader Kim ll-Sung in a mausoleum (Photo taking is not allowed inside). Continue with a 2 ½ hours drive to Kaesong and visit the small Koryo Museum, which is dedicated to the Koryo Dynasty. Also visit the Tomb of King Kongmin.

  • Day 05 - Kaesong / Pyongyang / Beijing / Singapore

    Visit Panmunjom - the DMZ and border with South Korea. Be briefed by an army escort, and visit the Armistice Talks Hall. Then, depending on local conditions, be escorted possibly under the watchful eye of the South Korean soldiers, into one of the huts which straddles the North-South Korean border.

    Afternoon, return to Pyongyang and visit the Korean Art Gallery. The next stop is the Monument to Party Foundation and the Grand People’s study house (national library), view from outside only. Transfer to airport for flight back.
