  • Day 01 - Singapore / Bangkok

  • Day 02 - Bangkok / (Singapore) / Paro / Thimphu
    Fly Singapore/Paro KB 501 0600/0945 - Thu and Sun (5h 45m via Kolkata)

    Drive to the BBS Tower Viewpoint for a stunning view of the valley before visiting the Takin Preserve to see the national animal of Bhutan- Takin. Head off to the Changlingmithang National Stadium for an archery shoot-out!

    Brush shoulders with the everyday Bhutanese at the Centenary Farmers Market and the craft bazaar. Take a tour of the National Institute of Traditional Medicine and Folk Heritage.

  • Day 03 - Thimphu / Gangtey

    Drive 5 hours via Dochu La (3050m). Sights on the way include Bhutan’s first fortress monasteries, the 17th century Simtokha Dzong, and ancient wall paintings at the Hongtsho Goemba monastery.

    Arrive at Gangtey Goemba and take a 1.5 hours nature trail Phobjikha Valley.

  • Day 04 - Gangtey

    Enjoy a stunning hike through Longtey Village. There are beautifully coloured rhododendron forests on both sides of the valley, yaks grazing. A steep uphill climb brings you to impressive views of the Gangtey Goemba, the Shedra, the lodge and the rest of the valley. Continue your 3-5 hrs hike towards the idyllic Kumbu village.

  • Day 05 - Gangtey / Bumthang

    A long but stunning scenic drive brings you to Bumthang (5 hours). The road winds its way up and across two high passes at Pele-La (3390m) and Yotong-La (3425m).

    En route, visit Trongsa Dzong – the ancestral home of the royal family.

    Optional: For the adventurous, Bumthang is great for fly-fishing, trekking, biking, horse-riding etc! A 3-day trek can be arranged, for an immersion into Bhutan’s rural village lifestyle.

  • Day 06 - Bumthang

    Visit Jakar Dzong, one of the largest dzongs in Bhutan. Begin your hike from the impressive Kurjey Lhakhang on the western side of Chamkhar Chu (river) to Tamshing Monastery. Learn about the valley’s unique cottage industries.

  • Day 07 - Bumthang / Punakha

    Re-trace your steps to Punakha (7-8 hours). Arrive in Punakha and visit a stunning hill-top nunnery- Sangchen Dorji Lhundrup Chholing dedicated to the bodhisattva of compassion (Avaloketeshvara).

  • Day 08 - Punakha

    Hike through beautiful rice fields to Chimmi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to a favourite saint of the Bhutanese people. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the confluence of the Pho Chu (male river) and Mo Chu (female river), before visiting Punakha Dzong.

  • Day 09 - Punakha / Paro

    Re-cros Dochu La and stop at Thimphu for lunch. Arrive Paro in the afternoon. Hike off the beaten path to the 15th century Zurig Lhakhang. En route, visit the iconic 17th century Paro Rinpung Dzong.

  • Day 10 - Paro

    Set on a vertical cliff face, the Taktshang Monastery defies all engineering logic. Hike up or choose to take a pony ride that can be arranged at an additional cost.

    Visit Kyichu Lhakang and enjoy a home-cooked dinner in a farmhouse for an authentic Bhutanese experience!

  • Day 11 - Paro / (Bangkok) / Singapore

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home via Bangkok.

    1-day Extension Option

    Overnight Bumdra Trek via Taktshang Monastery

    A unique trek up to the unspoiled wilderness of Bhutan’s Taktshang Monastery, rated moderate to challenging. The trek begins at Sangchen Chokhor and through untouched forests and meadows of wildflower. Camp at Bumdra before descending to Taktshang Monastery the next morning.

    Haa Valley Alpine Explorer (with Biking and Overnight Village Homestay Option)

    Take a 3 hour drive across Chele Las and arrive at the remote Haa valley. Discover the nomadic lifestyle of the Haap culture. Overnight in a village farmhouse, sampling home cooked delicacies and washing it down with Ara- a local brew.
