  • Day 01 - Singapore / Colombo / Negombo

    Upon arrival, be met and transfer to your hotel at the beach resort area of Negombo.

  • Day 02 - Negombo / Sigiriya

    If you wish, make an early morning visit to the bustling Negombo fish market and time your visit to catch the fine sight of the fisherman returning from their night catch (close on Sunday).

    Transfer to the airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Sigiriya, reducing what would have been a rough 3.5-hour overland drive to a mere 30min, and very scenic flight.

    Arrive and transfer to your hotel.

    This afternoon, proceed to visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Perhaps Sri Lanka’s most famous heritage site, Sigiriya is a huge, solitary rock, rising above the surrounding plains.

  • Day 03 - Sigiriya

    For elephant lovers, this is going to be a great day! 

    In the morning, travel to a remote village and board a catamaran ride and observe the typical villages before greeted by two tamed elephants enjoying a bath in the tank. Their mahouts invite you to join them in washing the elephants using coconut husks, a practice passed on from many generations of mahouts.

    Later in the afternoon, transfer into a safari jeep for an excursion into Minneriya National Park.  Herds of wild elephant gather around the ancient reservoir of Minneriya Tank.

  • Day 04 - Sigiriya / Dambulla / Kandy / Hill Country

    Check-out after a leisurely breakfast and drive about 2 hours to Kandy.  En-route, we visit the beautiful cave temples of Dambulla.  There are five separate caves, from which temples arefilled with Buddha images.

    Kandy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its precious Buddhist relics. We shall spend time in the Royal Botanical Garden for an educational walk with Professor Palipana – a Botanist and author of several publications and the first documentary by the Agricultural Department of Sri Lanka.

    From Kandy, we drive about 1.5 hour through the rolling hills and check into your tea estate.

  • Day 05 - Hill Country

    This morning, visit a working tea factory and plantation to learn about how the green gold is produced, from picking to processing to grading. Complete the experience with a tea tasting session and pluck some tea leaves if you wish!

    Have the remainder of the day to enjoy the lush surrounds of your environment.

    Optional: Hike or cycle among the tea bushes and observe the lifestyle of tea pluckers.

  • Day 06 - Hill Country / Kitulgala

    Leaving the tea estate, we drive to Kitulgala (2-3 hours depending on location of tea estate), the adventure playground as well as the location where the film “Bridge On the River Kwai” was filmed.

    In the afternoon, we enjoy a Class II and III white water rafting along the Lower Kelani River, suitable for children of all ages.

  • Day 07 - Kitulgala / Colombo / Singapore

    In the morning, enjoy a guided hike through the local forests surrounding Kitulgala. End the hike at a waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim at the local swimming holes inside the reserve.

    For the adventurous, you may wish to replace the hike with an abseiling trip down the canyon!

    Leaving Kitulgala, we drive 2.5 hours back to Colombo. Have a wash and change room near the airport to freshen up before your flight at night.

    If you wish to avoid a red-eye flight, we recommend spending the night in Colombo to sightsee the city and take a day time flight to Singapore.
